Coalition forces raid suspected safe house near Husaybah
CAMP FALLUJAH , Iraq – Coalition forces raided a suspected foreign-fighter safe house north of the Euphrates River near Husaybah in the early morning hours of June 1.
During the raid, Coalition forces received small arms fire from nearby buildings. Helicopters engaged the enemy and ended the attack by conducting air strikes on two buildings and a weapons cache, resulting in large secondary explosions.
Eight individuals were detained for questioning.
Coalition forces suffered no casualties or damage to equipment.
