| June 22, 2005 Release Number: 05-06-28C FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE SOLDIER KILLED NEAR AR RAMADI CAMP FALLUJAH, Iraq – A Soldier assigned to 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward), was killed in action June 21 by small-arms fire. The incident took place during combat operations near Ar Ramadi, Iraq. The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. The 2nd BCT is a U.S. Army unit assigned to II MEF (Fwd) in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. -30- |
