BAGHDAD, Iraq - Task Force Baghdad Soldiers arrested 17 suspected
terrorists during cordon and search operations in west Baghdad April
14. The Soldiers also found bomb making materials, five AK-47 rifles,
$2,200 in US currency, ammunition and anti-Iraqi forces progaganda.
Iraqi Army Soldiers of the 307th Iraqi Army Battalion played a key
role in the operation, finding eight AK-47 rifles in a mosque
suspected of harboring anti-Iraqi forces and supporting terrorist
activities.
The 17 suspects were taken into custody.
"All residents who have information about terrorist activity in their
neighborhoods are encouraged to help Iraqi Security Forces rid the
streets of crime by calling or e-mailing the TIPS hotline, " said Lt.
Col. Clifford Kent, a Task Force Baghdad spokesperson.
