BISHKEK, April 14 (RIA Novosti's Yulia Orlova) - MP of the Kyrgyz parliament Adakhan Madumarov called Bermet Akayeva's appearance a mistake.

"She should not have come, given the complicated social and political situation in the republic. Bermet should forget about ambitions," said Madumarov, who had announced earlier that he intended to run in the upcoming presidential election.

Askar Akayev's daughter, Bermet, returned to Bishkek and took part in a session of the Kyrgyz parliament. When she entered the parliament on Thursday morning and took her seat, it was quite unexpected to MPs and journalists. She spent there about half an hour talking with some MPs and the speaker.

Akayeva's appearance in the parliament has caused a negative reaction of part of society, with those unenthusiastic about Akayeva's return gathering in front of the parliament in the afternoon. Several dozen people have entered the foyer of the building, and about a hundred are at the entrance in spite of the heavy rain.

Security measures have been enhance inside the building. Even accredited journalists are not allowed inside.

In response to a question whether she was not afraid that her arrival might stir up public unrest Akayeva said, "I doubt that my arrival may worry anyone."

Akayev's elder son and daughter had received deputy's mandates after the March 24 parliamentary election before the revolution.

The well-known journalist Bolotbek Maripov, Bermet Akayeva's opponent, contested her victory in the run-off election on March 13 in court. The case is still under consideration .
