KYRGYZ PARLIAMENT ACCEPTS AKAYEV'S RESIGNATION

BISHKEK, April 11 (RIA Novosti) - The Parliament of Kyrgyzstan accepted the resignation of president Askar Akayev April 11, setting presidential elections for July 10.
Several draft resolutions were suggested in connection with Akayev's resignation.
Most deputies (38 out of 64) supported a document on terminating Akayev's powers ahead of schedule.
