| April 30, 2005 Release Number: 05-04-33C FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE SOLDIER ASSIGNED TO MARINE UNIT KILLED IN KHALADIYAH CAMP FALLUJAH, Iraq – A U.S. Soldier assigned to the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward), was killed April 30 by enemy small-arms fire. The incident took place in Khaladiyah, Iraq. The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. The 2nd BCT is a U.S. Army unit assigned to II MEF (Fwd) during Operation Iraqi Freedom. -30- |
