WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (NNS) -- The third and final wave of Navy Reserve Cargo Handlers mobilized and deployed by the Naval Expeditionary Logistics Support Force (NAVELSF) in August 2004 is scheduled to return to the AMC Terminal at Naval Station Norfolk April 2.

Welcoming home the nearly 200 Sailors will be Rear Adm. Hank Tomlin, commander, Naval Expeditionary Logistics Support Force.

The 500 members of the Navy Reserve that comprised Naval Expeditionary Logistics Support Force Forward BRAVO deployed in August to Iraq and Kuwait to provide cargo handling support in the largest logistics operation since World War II. Their demobilization is part of a scheduled force rotation.

NAVELSF Forward BRAVO personnel provided combat service support through logistics operations, which included port operations, fuel distribution, postal operations and air cargo missions in Iraq and Kuwait.

NAVELSF Reservists arriving Saturday are primarily from Navy Supply Support Battalion (NSSB) 1, Phoenix; Navy Cargo Handling Battalion (NCHB) 6, Orange, Texas; Navy Cargo Handling Battalion (NCHB) 7, Great Lakes, Ill.; and Navy Cargo Handling Battalion (NCHB) 9, Columbus, Ohio.
