
U.S. Air Force Awards $36 Million NETCENTS Order to General Dynamics
NEEDHAM, Mass. – The U.S. Air Force has awarded General Dynamics Network Systems a task order valued at $36 million to provide life-cycle support and sustainment services to Air Force voice, video and data networks and equipment. The Combat Information Transport System Life Cycle Support Services (CLCS) order was issued under the U.S. Air Force’s Network-Centric Solutions (NETCENTS) contract. General Dynamics Network Systems is a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD).
Under the CLCS order, General Dynamics will provide centrally managed life-cycle logistic support (sustainment) for all elements of the Combat Information Transport System (CITS). Over a three-year period, General Dynamics will provide worldwide technical assistance for voice, video and data networks and equipment, emergency engineering and dispatch, emergency technical assistance, remote monitoring, return and repair, and software updates and patches.

NETCENTS is a five-year, $9 billion acquisition initiative to provide the Air Force, Department of Defense, and other federal agencies with the complete range of information technology, networking, telephony, and security services, solutions and products. General Dynamics was one of eight companies awarded prime contracts under the indefinite quantity/indefinite delivery (ID/IQ) initiative.
The CLCS order was awarded by Hill Air Force Base. The work will be performed at the General Dynamics Network Operations Center in Fairview Heights, Ill.
