OLD KYRGYZ PARLIAMENT RESIGNS

BISHKEK, March 29 (RIA Novosti) - The People's Representatives Assembly, the upper chamber of Kyrgyzstan's 3rd parliament, has resigned.
The country's acting president, prime minister Kurmanbek Bakiyev welcomed the deputies' decision addressing them on Tuesday morning.
Now the only legitimate legislative body in Kyrgyzstan is the new parliament, Turgunaly Abdraimov, acting head of the Central Election Commission, announced on Monday.
