AKAYEV'S SECURITY MINISTERS WANT JUSTICE

RIA Novosti

BISHKEK, March 29 (RIA Novosti) - Former Kyrgyz Emergencies Minister Temirbek Akmataliyev and Interior Minister Keneshbek Dyushebayev announced Tuesday in Bishkek the establishment of a new public movement Spravedlivost (Justice).

They denounced the actions of the opposition as coup d'etat and demanded that the perpetrators be called to account.

The first item of their political statement says, "The state investigation commission should be set up to establish the circumstances, organizers and executors of the coup and anti-constitutional change of government in Kyrgyzstan that took place on March 24."

The statement consists of ten items, five of them political and the rest covering social, economic and legal matters.

The leaders of the movement said that they wanted peace and stability. At the same time, they warn the current authorities that if their demands are not fulfilled by March 31 protest actions will begin in some regions "that may have unpredictable consequences."
