KABAR AGENCY KNOWS NOTHING OF AKAYEV'S WHEREABOUTS
MOSCOW, March 25 (RIA Novosti) - The Kabar news agency does not know where Askar Akayev is and where he had sent his statement from.
The document was forwarded to the agency by e-mail.
No official information has been received about Akayev's whereabouts since Thursday when the opposition supporters seized the government building in Bishkek, where the presidential administration had an office too.
Akayev addressed the people of the country "as the legitimate president of Kyrgyzstan, elected by the people" and described the events in the republic as "an anti-constitutional coup."
He also said he was temporarily staying outside the country.
