Iraqi Army raid finds large weapons
cache
TIKRIT, Iraq - An Iraqi Army raid discovered a weapons cache
consisting of over 70 anti-tank mines near Miqdadiyah at about 5:00
p.m. March 22. Coalition Forces assisted in de-fusing the mines.
"Finding and destroying these mines weakens the terrorists and
criminals who would use these weapons to inflict violence on the
good people of Iraq," said Maj. Gen. Joseph J. Taluto, commander of
the 42nd Infantry Division and Task Force Liberty, the Coalition
Forces in support of the local Iraqi Security Forces.
Task Force Liberty consists of the Army National Guard's 42nd

Brigade Combat Team and 278th Regimental Combat Team. The task force
also includes the 1st and 3rd Brigade Combat Teams from the Army's
3rd Infantry Division.
The 42nd Infantry Division and Task Force Liberty conducts a range
of operations in full partnership with Iraqi Security Forces to
