Task Force Baghdad Soldiers discover weapons, ammunition

BAGHDAD, Iraq -- On March 15, a Task Force Baghdad unit discovered a weapons cache which included rocket-propelled grenades and other ammunition. A U.S. explosive ordnance detachment team was called in to conduct an emergency detonation of the cache.

Later, in the pre-dawn hours of March 16, another patrol in south Baghdad came upon a suspicious local national with a cell phone who fled the scene. The unit then discovered more than a dozen artillery rounds. The area was cordoned to allow the unit to safely continue the investigation at first light.
