U.S. Soldiers seize weapons cache


FORWARD OPERATING BASE KALSU, Iraq
-- U.S. soldiers of B Company, 150th Engineer Battalion, 155th Brigade Combat Team of the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force recently discovered a weapons cache within a residence located northeast of Forward Operating Base Dogwood.

The following items were seized and subsequently destroyed:

(1500) Rounds of assorted small arms ammunition

(1) SA-7 Surface to air missile

(21) Hand grenades

(2) 57 mm rockets

(8) 122 mm rockets

(31) 60 mm mortar rounds

(8) 122 mm mortar rounds

(56) 82 mm mortar rounds

(150) Fuses of assorted type

(7) Rocket propelled grenades

(3) Rifle grenades

(3) Mortar tubes

(8) 122 mm artillery rounds

Three individuals residing at the house were detained.
