SECURITY-2005 EXHIBITION TO OPEN IN KAZAN

KAZAN, March 2 (RIA Novosti, Alexander Gavrilenko) - The international exhibition Security-2005 will be held in Kazan from March 2-4, RIA Novosti was told in the Emergencies Ministry (MChS) of Tatarstan (a republic in the Volga area), which is one of its organizers.

The exhibition is being held on the territory of OAO Kazan Fair already for the tenth time. Enterprises and firms from different regions of Russia, the CIS, the former USSR republics and the non-CIS foreign countries are participating in it.

The new technical possibilities in the field of ensuring industrial, environmental and medical security, as well as the most promising systems of control, command and notification in case of emergency situations, as well as clothes, equipment and gear for emergency-rescue work will be shown to the visitors.

More than 10,000 people, among them the MChS, Interior Ministry and FSB staffers, and personnel of security structures of different regions of Russia, visit the exhibition every year. The program includes also seminars, conferences and presentations of firms and projects.

The republican conference Improvement of the System of Ensuring Security, Eliminating the Consequences of Emergency Situations, Rehabilitating Territories and Social Protection of the Citizens of the Republic of Tatarstan will take place within the exhibition on March 3.
