Argentina's President Nestor Kirchner has fired the head of the country's Air Force in response to alleged drug trafficking through a Buenos Aires airport.
The Air Force supervises security at Ezeiza International Airport.
The firing stems from the discovery by Spanish authorities of 60 kilograms of cocaine in baggage transported on an Argentine flight to Madrid.
The suitcases were reportedly marked for delivery to the Argentine embassy, but were not claimed.
