BAE SYSTEMS Demonstrates World Class Surveillance Systems At IDEX 2005

13 Feb 2005

BAE Systems Avionics Group will demonstrate its world class capability in surveillance systems at the IDEX Exhibition in Abu Dhabi this week.

On show all week at the Exhibition will be a BAE Systems Mobile Surveillance Unit (MSU) which has a proven track record in border surveillance and protection. It is already operational in several countries and has repeatedly demonstrated its capability in border protection and surveillance including the monitoring and control of illegal activities.

The system uses the latest electro optic and laser technology and is available in land based or coastal versions providing information to a series of mobile command and control centres for evaluation and action.

These MSU solutions can be fitted to any suitable customer owned vehicle such as Land Rover Defender, Pinzgauer and Mercedes.

BAE Systems is a market leader for Mobile Surveillance Systems and there are presently 160 BAE Systems MSUs in-service worldwide.

Roy Pilkington, Head of Sales and Marketing, said: We are delighted to display our state of the art MSU which is operationally proven to work day and night and in all weather conditions providing surveillance solutions to our customers.
