FBI EXPERTS START INVESTIGATING GEORGIAN PREMIER'S DEATH
TBILISI, February 8 (RIA Novosti's Marina Kvaratskhelia) - Experts of the US Federal Bureau of Investigation will visit the apartment where Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania died.
The FBI representatives have already met with their Georgian colleagues, US ambassador to Georgia Richard Miles told journalists. They will visit the apartment where Mr. Zhvania died and will go to Gori where policemen were killed on February 1, he added.
According to the US diplomat, he discussed the situation in the country after Zurab Zhvania's death with Georgian National Security Council Secretary Gela Bezhuashvili.
US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Laura Kennedy who attended the meeting with Mr. Bezhuashvili noted that the United States did not interfere in choosing the new Georgian Prime Minister.
We give no recommendations on this issue, she stressed adding that it was Georgia's domestic affair.
