At Least 13 Killed In Baghdad Explosion
8 February 2005 -- An explosion at an army-recruiting center in Baghdad killed at least 13 people today.
Hospital officials confirmed the death toll and added that at least 11 people were wounded in the blast.
Insurgents have frequently attacked recruiting centers.
Also in Baghdad, armed men attacked an Iraqi politician's convoy today, killing two of the politician's sons.
Iraq Shi'ite politician Mithal al-Alusi, who is a vocal critic of Syria and Iran, survived the attack in western Baghdad.
There were also reports that three Iraqi police officers were killed in fighting in Baghdad's Al-Ghazaliyah district.
