Commando Operations Net 12 Suspects in Abu Ghraib District

Baghdad, Iraq -- Twelve suspected insurgents and several caches of weapons were taken by Soldiers of the 10th Mountain Division's 2nd "Commando" Brigade Combat Team during a series of raids in the Abu Ghraib district on Jan. 24.

The unit uncovered a variety of weapons and ammunition, including:

2 - 57mm rockets and tube launchers

2 - RPG launchers, boosters and high explosive rounds

3 - Blocks of C4 plastic explosive

3 - Canisters of PE4 plastic explosive

30 - Blasting caps

800 - RPK machine gun ammunition rounds

3 - 60mm mortar rounds

6 - 82mm mortar rounds

3 - 120mm mortar rounds

4 - SPG recoilless anti-tank rounds

6 - Iraqi police uniforms

The twelve suspects are being held for questioning.
