155 mm Round Found in Fallujah

Baghdad, Iraq - Iraqi soldiers from three battalions of the 7th Brigade, working with the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force near Fallujah completed stability operation patrols and found a 155 mm round on Jan. 23.

The 16th, 17th, and 18th Battalions working with the 1st MEF in Fallujah conducted 15 daylight stability operation patrols, three listening and observation patrols and found one 155 mm round, a rocket propelled grenade launcher and one round.

U.S. officials say that the 155 mm round could have been used as an improvised explosive device.
