Task Force Baghdad Soldiers Detain Nine

Baghdad, Iraq -- Task Force Baghdad Soldiers detained nine suspected insurgents in southern Baghdad on Jan. 18.

Near midnight, the Soldiers came under attack by insurgents. When the Soldiers pursued, the attackers fled. The Soldiers followed the insurgents to a house where they detained two suspects.

At approximately 12:20 a.m., Soldiers conducting a raid detained seven more suspected insurgents.

The suspects are being held for questioning.

There was no damage or injuries in the incidents.
