First Infantry Division Soldiers Detain Three in Raid

Tikrit, Iraq -- Fifteen individuals were detained after a group attacked a convoy with rocks near Balad at about 12:42 p.m., January 18 damaging a windshield on a military vehicle. The combat logistics patrol from Task Force 1-77 Armor sustained no injuries in the incident involving approximately thirty individuals. The 15 were detained and questioned during a search of the area then turned over to Iraqi Police. No Multi-National forces were injured in the attack
