| January 15, 2005 Release Number: 05-01-67 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE COALITION FORCES RECOVER WEAPONS CACHE BAGRAM AIRFIELD, Afghanistan - Coalition forces recovered two weapons caches Friday. The first weapons cache was turned into Coalition forces in the Khwost province. The cache contained three RPG launchers, three RPGs, one RPK and one AK-47. Coalition forces have secured the weapons cache. The second weapons cache was turned over by the Afghan National Police (ANP) to Coalition forces in the Nangarhar province. The cache contained four 25 mm anti-air gun barrels, four 25 mm anti-gun receivers and 130 cans of ammo with 32 rounds per can. Coalition forces have secured the weapons cache and will turn the cache over to the Afghan National Police (ANP) for destruction. -30- |
