Bomb Maker Detained by 10th Mountain Division unit in Baghdad
Baghdad, Iraq --Members of the 10th Mountain Division's 2nd "Commando" Brigade Combat Team conducted a raid in western Baghdad Jan. 11, capturing a suspected improvised explosive devise and car bomb maker.
The raid was conducted by members of the 1st Cavalry Division's 91st Engineer Battalion, currently attached to the 10th Mountain Division's 2nd brigade. The individual possessed several illegal weapons at the time of detention. The suspect has been detained for further questioning. A brigade spokesman said the operation was successful thanks to a tip from local residents.
"We have been tracking this individual for some time now, gathering information from local sources," said Maj. Web Wright, brigade public affairs officer. "We ask the citizens of Baghdad to continue to turn in these criminals."
