
Daily MNF-I Operations Highlights for January 10, 2005
Baghdad, Iraq -- Multi-National Force - Iraq forces discovered and cleared ten improvised explosive devices, discovered and cleared nine weapons caches, conducted seven cordon and searches of suspected anti-Iraqi forces facilities, conducted two raids on suspected anti-Iraqi forces facilities and detained 54 suspected AIF.
Highlights
- Iraqi Police found the body of an anti-Iraq force member apparently killed when the IED he was emplacing exploded. The individual had anti-Iraqi election propaganda in his pockets.
- Multi-National Forces inspecting a car lot found a suspicious vehicle. Initial investigation of seven males inside the vehicle found that all had evidence of explosives on their person.
- In partnership with the Iraqi government, the Multi-National Force - Iraq conducts full spectrum counter-insurgency operations to isolate and neutralize former regime extremists and foreign terrorists. The Force also organizes, trains and equips Iraqi security forces to create a security environment that allows all Iraqi people to live in peace.
