FIVE 1ST ID SOLDIERS DIE, TWO INJURED IN VEHICLE ACCIDENT
TIKRIT, Iraq -- Five 1st Infantry Division Soldiers died and two were injured in a vehicle accident near Khan Bani Saad about 8 p.m. on Jan. 24.
The Soldiers were evacuated to a military treatment facility. Five were pronounced dead on arrival, one is in serious condition and one is in stable condition.
Names of the Soldiers are being withheld pending notification of next of kin. The incident is under investigation.
