IMMEDIATE RELEASE December 8, 2004

DoD Identifies Army Casualty

            The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

 

            Pfc. Andrew M. Ward, 25, of Kirkland, Wash., died Dec. 5 in Ar Ramadi, Iraq, when his unit was attacked by enemy forces using small arms fire.  Ward was assigned to the 44th Engineer Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division, Camp Howze, Korea.
