Military

            The Department of Defense announced today the death of two soldiers supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.  They died Nov. 30 in Fallujah, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated near their military vehicle.  Both were assigned to 1^st Battalion, 5^th Cavalry Regiment, 1^st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.

            Killed were:

            Sgt. Pablo A. Calderon, 26, of Brooklyn, N.Y.

            Sgt. Jose Guereca, Jr., 24, of Missouri City, Texas
