Fallujah's Critical Infrastructure Assessed
Fallijah, Iraq -- Teams of specialists from the 4th Civil Affairs Group of the I Marine Expeditionary Force wrapped up their assessment of specific segments of the city's critical infrastructure here recently.
The teams assessed medical facilities, water treatment plants, power plants, roads and housing.
The assessment confirmed extensive repair is required before reactivating the electrical grid and city water system. Additionally, medical facilities will have to be available, properly staffed and stocked.
The 4th Civil Affairs Group of the I Marine Expeditionary Force is working closely with the Interim Fallujah Municipal Council to aid in all clean-up, humanitarian and reconstruction efforts within the city.
