The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Capt. Sean P. Sims, 32, of El Paso, Texas, died Nov. 13 in Fallujah, Iraq, when his unit received small arms fire while clearing a building. Sims was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 2nd Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division, Vilseck, Germany.
