            The Department of Defense announced today the death of two Marines who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

            Lance Cpl. Branden P. Ramey, 22, of Boone, Ill., died Nov. 8 as a result of enemy action in Babil Province, Iraq.   He was assigned to the Marine Corps Reserve's 2^nd Battalion, 24th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, Chicago, Ill.

            Staff Sgt. David G. Ries, 29, of Clark, Wash., died Nov. 8 as a result of enemy action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.   He was assigned to the Marine Corps Reserve's 6^th Engineer Support Battalion, 4^th Force Service Support Group, Portland, Ore.
