IMMEDIATE RELEASE October 11, 2004

DoD Identifies Army Casualty

            The Department of Defense announced today the death of a Soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

             Pvt. 2 Carson J. Ramsey, 22, of Winkelman, Ariz., died October 10 in Baghdad, Iraq, when a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device detonated near his military vehicle.  Ramsey was assigned to the Army's 2nd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.
