Tikrit Police and Multinational Forces 'Clean' City's Streets

Baghdad, Iraq
- The Tikrit Iraqi Police Service officers and multinational forces conducted a large cordon and search mission in the city, in the last 10 days, intending to drive anti-Iraqi forces out of the city.

Forces in the operation dubbed "Operation Mandarin Squeeze" searched more than 600 homes in Tikrit's highest urban concentration area and one with a particularly large population of former military members.

The mission, additionally, was designed to promote the Tikrit Job Corps program and assess essential services in the area symbolizing a mission of "simultaneity" - an operation with multiple designs.
More than 150 job corps cards were handed out. The cards can be exchanged for a job.
