Baghdad, Iraq - The Tikrit Iraqi Police Service officers and multinational forces conducted a large cordon and search mission in the city, in the last 10 days, intending to drive anti-Iraqi forces out of the city.
Forces in the operation dubbed "Operation Mandarin Squeeze" searched more than 600 homes in Tikrit's highest urban concentration area and one with a particularly large population of former military members.
