Two Car Bombs Detonate in Eastern Baghdad
Baghdad, Iraq -- Two vehicle-borne explosive devices detonated in eastern Baghdad on Oct. 10. The first blast targeted a Multi-National Force convoy about 7:15 a.m. in eastern Baghdad, wounding one Task Force Baghdad Soldier.
A second car bomb detonated an hour later, in a southern section of the Al Thawra District. Initial reports from the scene indicate that three Iraqis were killed in the blast. No MNF Soldiers or equipment was involved in the second incident.
The wounded Soldier was medically evacuated to a nearby military medical treatment facility. Both incidents are under investigation.
