IRAQI POLICE FIND VEHICLE BORN IED NEAR AL-MASHRU VILLAGE

BAGHDAD, Iraq - At approximately 1:15 p.m. on September 28, 2004, the Iraqi Police became suspicious of a vehicle that appeared near an Iraqi Police check point on a supply route to Baghdad. Later, the Iraqi Police noticed this same car near Al-Mashru village. At this time, the Police discovered that the car was a Vehicle Born Improvised Explosive Device prepared to explode. The Iraqi Police defused the explosive material and removed the car from the scene. The car was sent for further inspection to the Iraqi Police station in Al-Mashru village.

The enemies of Iraq have attacked Iraqi Forces, the Iraqi people and Multi National Forces many times to make the security situation worse in the country and to place Iraqi citizens at risk there. The Iraqi Security Forces and the Multi-National forces are dedicated to serve and protect the citizens of Iraq from these acts of terrorism.
