The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Pfc. Luis A. Perez, 19, of Theresa, N.Y., died Aug. 27 in Fallujah, Iraq, when his convoy vehicle hit an improvised explosive device. Perez was assigned to the Army Reserve's 223rd Transportation Company, Norristown, Pa.
The incident is under investigation.
