The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

           Spc. Marco D. Ross, 20, of Memphis, Tenn., died Aug. 25 in Baghdad, Iraq, when enemy mortars attacked his camp.  Ross was assigned to the Army's 115^th Forward Support Battalion, 1^st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.

The incident is under investigation.
