            The Department of Defense announced today the death of a Marine who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

            Lance Cpl. Alexander S. Arredondo, 20, of Randolph, Mass., died Aug. 25 as result of enemy action in An Najaf, Iraq.  He was assigned to Battalion Landing Team 1/4, 11^th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable), I Marine Expeditionary Force, Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif.
