Violence Reported Across Iraq; Najaf Remains Calm

At least 11 people were killed in attacks across Iraq Saturday,while the holy city of Najaf remained calm.
In Baghdad, a mortar attack killed two Iraqis. North of the capital, an insurgent attack killed five Iraqi police officers. In Fallujah, U.S. warplanes bombed insurgent positions. Overnight airstrikes killed three people in the city.
And in the northern city of Mosul, gunmen shot a lecturer from Mosul University. She is the third senior figure at the school to be killed this year.
Meanwhile in Najaf, senior Shi'ite clerics met at Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani home to discuss recent developments.
Later Saturday, Turkish diplomats said Iraqi police found the bodies of an Iraqi man and a Turkish driver who had not been listed as kidnapped.
