CAR BOMB KILLS 5 IRAQIS, WOUNDS MORE THAN 40
MOSUL, Iraq - Five Iraqis, including two police officers were killed and more than 40 were wounded when a car bomb exploded outside of the Somer Police Station in southeastern Mosul during a morning shift change around 8:15 a.m. today.
The vehicle approached the police station at the high rate of speed, crashing into the concrete barriers in front of the station and exploding.
The guard at the entry control point where the vehicle detonated shot and killed the driver of the vehicle as he approached the barriers.
There was no structural damage to the building.
