AIF ATTACK KILLS ONE TF BAGHDAD SOLDIER

BAGHDAD - One Task Force Baghdad soldier was killed and three armored vehicles were disabled by a series of anti-Iraqi force attacks Aug. 16 in eastern Baghdad.

A number of soldiers were also wounded in the attacks.

TF Baghdad soldiers were attacked with improvised explosive devices and rocket-propelled grenades starting around 3:30 p.m. Aug. 16.

The wounded were evacuated to a medical treatment facility. The disabled vehicles have been recovered.

The name of the soldier killed in this incident is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The incident is under investigation.
