CFC-Afghanistan: Three killed, one injured in IED incident
GHAZNI, Afghanistan - Two U.S. Soldiers and one local national interpreter died, and one U.S. Soldier was injured Aug. 7 at approx. 11 a.m. when their High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle struck an improvised explosive device approximately 100 kilometers southwest of Ghazni.
The wounded Soldier was flown to Kandahar Airfield hospital for medical treatment, and is currently listed in stable condition.
The Department of Defense will release the names of the deceased U.S. military personnel, pending next of kin notifications.
