Palestinian residents of a southern Gaza refugee camp say an Israeli helicopter fired a missile at a workshop early Thursday, causing damage but no serious injuries.
The Israeli army says the workshop in the Khan Younis refugee camp was used by the militant Islamic group Hamas to make weapons. The military says the missile set off a series of blasts, indicating there was a large quantity of explosives in the building.
Several kilometers away, Israel says troops discovered two tunnels Palestinian militants use to smuggle weapons from Egypt into the Gaza border town of Rafah.
Israeli officials also say soldiers arrested 14 suspected Palestinian militants overnight in the West Bank.
