BAE SYSTEMS New Avionics Upgrade Demonstrator At FI2004

BAE Systems Avionics Group is exhibiting a new demonstrator showing its avionics upgrade capabilities for the first time at the Farnborough International Airshow. The demonstrator shows on four screens simultaneously the performance of three BAE Systems capabilities: HIDAS Electronic Warfare countermeasures, Seaspray 7000E radar, TERPROM moving map, and a cockpit screen illustrating a general threat scenario.
BAE Systems is currently competing for avionics upgrades business for both fixed wing and rotary legacy platforms.
Tom Hyatt, Director and General Manager MSI, said, “This new demonstrator illustrates BAE Systems leadership in Mission Systems Integration (MSI) in avionics capabilities by integrating a range of our systems, including electronic warfare countermeasures and electronically scanned array radar technology to provide a state of the art solution to the modernisation needs of a range of customers.”
