A militant group led by Iraq's most-wanted terror suspect, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, has claimed responsibility for an attack last week that killed five U.S. soldiers and at least one Iraqi National Guardsman north of Baghdad.

A statement from Zarqawi-led militants posted on an Islamist Internet site said the headquarters of the Iraqi National Guard were attacked with mortars Thursday in Samarra. The statement also said coalition casualties were much higher than reported by coalition officials.

Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, who is Jordanian, is considered the most wanted man on the list of terrorist suspects being hunted in Iraq. The United States has offered a $25 million reward for his capture.
