DoD Identifies Army Casualties
The Department of Defense announced today the death of three soldiers supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. They died on June 16 in Balad, Iraq, during a mortar attack when mortar rounds hit their camp. Killed were:
Spc. Jeremy M. Dimaranan, 29, of Virginia Beach, Va. Dimaranan was assigned to the Army Reserve's 302nd Transportation Company, 172nd Combat Support Group, Fort Eustis, Va.
Sgt. Arthur S. Mastrapa, 35, of Apopka, Fla. Mastrapa was assigned to the Army Reserve's 351 Military Police Company, 95th Military Police Battalion, 16th Military Police Brigade, Ocala, Fla.
The incident is under investigation.
