ATK Statement on PGMM Program
May 28, 2004
Minneapolis, May 28, 2004 – ATK (NYSE: ATK), said today that the General Accounting Office has recommended that the U.S. Army reopen discussions with ATK and Lockheed Martin on the Precision Guided Mortar Munition (PGMM). David Super, the U.S. Army deputy program manager for mortars, said, "The Army will evaluate Revised Final Proposal Revisions from both offerors." This delays the contract award by adding an additional step to the process.
Dan Murphy, chief executive officer, said, "I remain fully confident in the superiority of ATK’s PGMM proposal. I expect ATK will be awarded the contract upon completion of this process."
