            The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

            Sgt. 1^st Class William W. Labadie Jr., 45, of Bauxite, Ark., died April 7, in Baghdad, Iraq, when his camp was attacked by individuals using rockets and small arms fire.  Labadie was assigned to the Army National Guard's Troop E(-), 151^st Cavalry Squadron, 39^th Infantry Brigade, 1^st Cavalry Division, from Marianna, Ark.

            The incident is under investigation.
