            The Department of Defense announced today the death of a Marine who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

            Lance Cpl. Shane L. Goldman, 20, of Orange, Texas, died April 5 due to injuries received from hostile fire in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.  He was assigned to 1^st Battalion, 5^th Marines, 1^st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif.
